Socially anxious student, Nina works as a timer for the synchronised swim team that she dreams of being part of. When a loud ex-swimmer is brought in to replace her, she summons the courage to ask for an explanation and ends up with a trial within the team, putting herself at risk of exposing her disturbing secret.

Overall, a very well-written short film that stands on its own. I find the topic of synchronized swimming to be very appropriate to the story, because it's almost about being synchronous and fitting in with the rest of the group. But in the end, the protagonist "fits in" in a completely different way than she expected. The only thing I would recommend is perhaps giving the audience more of a context as to what makes Nina join Hugo in the pool at...

Overall, The Creature is a solid start to a story that needs a little more development in the latter portion of the story. The characters are well defined with room to grow, just as long as the themes continued to be extrapolated and explored.
