After the diagnosis of his deaf son, a father journey's to finally communicate with his son and share a conversation with him.

He invites a sign-language tutor to help restore the problem at hand.

However, his father is unable to grasp the complex language and fails to communicate with his son.

At the end, he finds that his son finally has something to say to him; "I love you".

I have never seen a short about a deaf boy tht included the necessary silence to tell his story. This is the thing I also like the most about your concept: the way you sparingly use sound. (It reminds me of the film "All i see is You" where this is done with the protagonist's sight.)

Okay, so, up until the tragic ending, I really wasn't sold on the story. I didn't buy that a father had no idea his son was deaf until the kid was 5 years old. Unless it was just sheer negligence.
