a thriller feature set in present day Oakland, based on true events. Local communities furious at the creeping gentrification, rising rents and slow eroding of culture in their once-great town. The area has also seen a rise in fires at various abandoned buildings and new construction that many are painting as an act of social outrage in direct response to gentrification. Meanwhile a struggling defense attorney named Hayden is suddenly obligated by blood to step up when he learns of his estranged younger brother Roy's grim cancer diagnosis. Also Roy is under arrest in connection with the fires. So now Hayden is trapped between a brother that he believes is innocent and detectives asking questions about Roy's whereabouts that he can't answer. And the fires aren't stopping, but they aren't quite what they seem...
