Years after the blood-soaked legacies of Sidney Prescott and Sam Carpenter, a fresh wave of Ghostface murders plunges Woodsboro into a new nightmare. This, time, Ghostface doesn't give a shit about the movies or the past. All that matters is that a new generation of high schoolers are about to be murdered.
At the heart of the chaos is Zander Luklin, an average teen forced into the spotlight alongside his protective brother, Dominic, and his fierce, cynical friend Rebecca.
As the town is locked down, the social circles of Woodsboro High begin to fracture. Popular athlete Brooklyn and Rebecca's volatile ex-boyfriend Jameson find themselves under the lens of the "reboot" rules, while tech-savvy cinephile Tristen and the quick-witted gossip Jarrod try to stay one step ahead of the tropes.
The terror spreads through the group as the class clown Ben and the moody loner Ryder realize that knowing the "rules" of horror might not be enough to save them.
Even those on the fringes such as the fame-hungry streamer Chase, the skeptical Harrison and Gemodia, and cops Parker, Yianni, and Joanne became pieces in a deadly game where every interaction is a potential death sentence.
As the body count rises during a high-stakes "Stab-a-thon" marathon, the survivors must decide whether to follow the established laws of the genre or "fuck the rules" to stay alive.
