When Ophelia was a kid, she saw a version of a dead mermaid in a lake. Now as an adult, she and her girlfriend, who is a mermaid, are just trying to live in peace in their restaurant/cafe on a lake and they would be able to do so if it weren't for the forces In their town trying to kill them.
