Gary Arthur, a quiet and lonely man living in Alaska is shocked when he receives news of his estranged mother's death. Psychologically disturbed from being sexually molested by his own father, he has always blamed his mother more for not doing enough. Thus, to crave his inner guilt and fury, he embarks on a murderous rampage across Alaska, imagining that he's killing his mother every time. Meanwhile, a worn out police detective investigates, joined by a cynical FBI agent, while taking care of her dying husband, is pushed to her limits concerning death...
